Q: I'm not a runner. Are your programs suitable for beginners?

A: Yes! We offer programs for everyone from beginner runner to competitive athlete.

Q: I don't run a fast pace. Will I be able to keep up with the group?

A: Yes! We group people according to fitness level so that everyone is running with people of similar pace. One of the great things about doing our workouts on a track is that regardless of pace, we can foster camaraderie and support amongst the entire group; the farthest you'll ever be away from each other is 1/4 mile!

Q: How long do the track workouts last?

A: Exact timing will vary by workout but they're all approximately one hour.

Q: What do I need to bring to the workouts?

A: The only things we require you to bring are yourself and a smile! However, we suggest that you also bring a bottle of water to drink throughout the workout.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad?

A: We roll with the punches when it comes to weather but may occasionally cancel a workout if it's really bad outside. If a workout is cancelled, you will receive email notification. Please note that FIT MAMAS does not issue refunds for workouts cancelled due to weather.

Q: I can't make it to any of the group workouts. Can I still join FIT MAMAS?

A: Yes! Our online training program sounds perfect for you!

Q: Can I attend both weekly track workouts?

A: The programs are designed with the assumption that group members will attend just one of the two weekly track workouts. If you would like to attend both, contact us directly and we'll try to work something out.

Q: Can I bring my kids with me to the workouts?

A: Absolutely! We love having kids at the track! If they're content enough to stay in their stroller, we can watch them while you workout. Or, if you want some added resistance, you can run with a jogging stroller! If neither of those options sounds appealing, we also have access to babysitters who can come to the track to watch your kids while you workout.

Q: What's the difference between your online training program and the other ones I've found online?

A: The biggest difference is that we customize everything based on your fitness background and your specific needs. Additionally, we communicate with you on a regular basis so that we can tweak the plan as you progress. Online training programs are great but they're just words on a computer screen without the personal context. One of the most critical elements of long term success in running is the ability to listen to the body and adjust accordingly. Our coaching staff will always be accessible via phone, email or text to help you do that. Most online training programs don't offer the personal connection to customize to your needs and adjust your plan along the way.
